What do we do?
We organise a number of activities throughout the year for personal and professional training and development in pastoral care, psychotherapy, counselling and related areas.
Primal Integration and Growth Weekends
We offer a safe place where early traumas can be re-evaluated and healed. A longer explanation about these weekends can be found here.
Training in pastoral care and counselling skills
There are four modules to this course, spread over a total of 100 hours of small group seminars led by a qualified tutor. Courses are run throughout the UK and participants are awarded a Foundation Certificate on completion of the modules which can be used for external accreditation or for inclusion in a personal training portfolio. Conferences
Our Conferences (sometimes called Gatherings) usually run for five days (Monday to Friday) in England and Scotland.
They are open to anyone: BPF members or not, clergy or lay, professionals working in the 'talking' professions and those engaged in pastoral visiting within their local church or community or simply someone seeking personal growth and healing. If you are seeking space for reflection and personal growth in an ethos of spirituality then this conference is for you. More details
The Practitioners' Conference provides an opportunity for BPF-authorised tutors and facilitators, and those seeking or invited to seek authorisation, to share and learn together.
Regional Groups and Training events
These take place throughout the year. Please have a look at our Courses for details.
